Dstar to DMR, YSF, NXDN ect

I have talked with a local ham about setting up crossmode on my new openspot 4pro from dstar to the other supported cross modes. He explained to me that I have to setup different profiles using the connector mode I want to access. What I have gathered from the manual is if I setup using the Dstar modem and homebrew/mmdvm connector I can just enter the reflector/tg in my to field on my dstar transceiver to access where I want.to go? Then select cqcqcq to use the destination. Are they both correct methods? I am a little confused.

You don't need to set up different configuration profiles. Each connector's user manual page describes how to switch server from your transceiver. See the Cross mode usage on each connector's user manual page.

HA2NON thank you, I setup each connector with quick setup and it works great. I did create a second profile for TGIF as I couldn't figure out how to have BM and TGIF working within the same profile.
