Allstar on OSP4

I recently bought an OSP4. It cost me over $500 Canadian, after shipping. I see the new M1ke has Allstar capability. Is there any hope, anywhere that the OSP4 will get a firmware upgrade to support Allstar? If not, does SharkRF offer a trade-up program?

DO A SEARCH, its been asked many times before, NO it cant, hardware in the OS4 dont support it.

No need to be UPPERCASING. It was a simple question that was searched before, however the search criteria did not show any results in the OSP4 group. Thank you for your insight.

For everyone else, Does SharkRF offer a trade-up program? I am more than willing to pay for shipping to ship my OSP4 back to get a discount on a M1KE - provided it does everything the OSP4 does and using as a hotspot.

VA3JPX You really need both! I run an OS2 and the M1ke, this covers all the bases for me, I appreciate it also doubles your cost. Another alternative if this is just to add AllStar, is to use DVSwitch mobile on an Android based phone or Network radio with a PTT button. Hope that helps 73 David 2E0DCE

No, the m1ke cannot act as a hotspot because it only has a 2.4GHz WiFi radio module. It does not have a 433MHz digital radio chip (ADF7021) or the necessary AMBE codec transcoding capability between DSTAR and DMR/C4FM, NXDN and P25 modes.
