Wifi Network Change - connection problems

Hi there,

(maybe) after the last fw update the OpenSpot4 Pro i've Problems to connect changing WLAN SSIDs with different BSSID.

Example 2 Networks DG7ABL (Home Fritzbox) DG7ABL-P (LTE Router)

I configure both networks in the advance network settings in the Openspot Config Side (passwords are correct).

Im Online in the DG7ABL Home newtwork .... All is fine ....
I leave into a hotel an like that the OpenSpot 4 connect into the DG7ABL-P Wifi but the Openspot don't connect into DG7ABL-P.

If i'm going back into the AP- Mode the Openspot4 Pro found the DG7ABL.-P Wifi Net and i can connect, put the WPA2 Password in and everything works again.

I'm comming back home (the LTE Router is offline) normaly the OpenSpot4 should be connect into the (remember) DG7ABL Neztwork ... because I'm home again... but the Openspot don't connect into the DG7ABL Wifi Network.

Same Game .... Openspot4 AP Mode .... Connect the DG7ABL Wifi Network (WPA 2 Password) everthing online again.

We' ve this issue at 3 OpenSpot4 Pro Devices ... maybe a bug?

Hello,
I setup my wifi connections (1. home, 2. LTE-hotspot) as described in the manual (https://manuals.sharkrf.com/openspot4/en/home-and-phone-wifi.html#page-top) and experienced the same problem like DG7ABL.
When I am connected at home and the OpenSpot 4 Pro is connected to the home network, everything seems to be fine.
When I now go anywhere by car, I firstly start the LTE hotspot and after it is ready and connected with my mobile phone, I start the OpenSpot 4 Pro and the OpenSpot 4 Pro does not connect to the LTE Hotspots wifi, either it was configured.
To get a connection, I have to set the OpenSpot 4 into AP mode and select the configured wifi. The OpenSpot 4 Pro asks me for the pre shared key (PSK) and I have to enter it several times, before it will be accepted (very, very sure, that I always enter the same PSK). Then, everything works fine, until I come home again. The OpenSpot 4 Pro does not connect to the home network. Same procedure now: I have to set the OpenSpot 4 to AP mode, select the home wifi and I have to reenter the already stored PSK again for several times, until it will be accepted.
It seems to be a bug since the last version. A friend of mine told me, that the wifi changes worked fine (as expected) with the OpenSpot 4 Pro. I just got the OpenSpot 4 Pro and I have the newest software update installed.
Hope the bug will be fixed as soon as possible.

If you manually set up the Wi-Fi connection using AP mode then it overwrites the network configured in slot #1.

the wifi network must to be switch automatically without to do anything, please troubleshoot this issue! This is a bug in your software!

Seems its only you with this problem so not really a bug is it

mickn I am having the same issue, after the last update. I think the bug is in your update. how can I roll back?

Thank you for your reply. I have followed those instructions, however it seems to only connect to the first network on the list. It will not connect to the others.

It only tries list entry #2 if #1 was not reachable.

If the openSPOT disconnects, then it will always retry with SSID #1, then #2 and so on.

Note that if you use the AP mode to connect the openSPOT4 to a Wi-Fi network then it will overwrite the SSID stored in slot #1.
