TG Disconnect

I use the TGIF network. When I try to go to a different TG on my M1KE, the last TG remains active. I cannot change TG's. Is there a setting that needs to made that I obviously am not aware of?

Talkgroup linking/unlinking is done entirely by the server/network, and not the M1KE. Please read https://manuals.sharkrf.com/m1ke/basic/dmrusage.html

To unlink all dynamically linked talkgroups, call TG4000 (start a short group call to DMR ID 4000).

I understand that. However; within the TGIF network there is no TG4000 to select from, so I can't call up TG4000 to try a disconnect. TGIF does not need a disconnect when switching to a different TG. There has to be a setting within the M1KE portal to throw a disconnect when switching TG's, but I am unsure where or what that might be.

Remember...just because there isn't a TG4000 in the list to select from doesn't mean you can't specify it manually. You could do this a few ways:

1) Define a 4000 under the MIC Settings.

2) Under Settings/Shortcuts define one for group call 4000.

[My preferred way]
3) On the M1KE, Hit Set dst by pressing and holding the down key. Set and go to 4000 that way. Then go back in and save 4000 as a favorite under the same menu area.

That setting can be found under "Quick Call" at the bottom of the window. There's a check box for "Auto group call 4000 before shortcut call."
