TGIF Network

Jim1348

I want to try my M1KE on the TGIF network.

Where do I start?

N4VKF

Did you change to a new profile and make a connection to the tgif server?

HA2NON

You can use the Quick Setup feature on the device display or on the web interface to connect to the TGIF network.

I have LED blue and yellow LEDs that are flashing.

Did you do the following in your connector profile:
Protocol: MMDVM (NOT homebrew)
Server address: tgif.network
Port (UDP): 62031
SSID: Your DMR ID plus a unique two digit suffix (For example, mine is 311164451).
Server password: Your 16 digit hotspot security key obtained from your TGIF User security area on the tgif.network website)

If you don't have a server password yet, you can use passw0rd, but won't be able to access secure talkgroups on TGIF (such as 31665) until you obtain one and enter it on the M1KE.

WB3IHY so is this why I don’t see the TGIF TGs because I haven’t inputted this information?

Jim1348

I found out why it wasn't working. I thought I was registered, but I was rejected. Now to find out why I was rejected.

A few thoughts:

1) Did you register with your Callsign and name exactly as it appears on your FCC license?
2) Did you register with the same email that you use on QRZ?
3) Your User ID must be your callsign. If it isn't, then it will definitely be rejected.
