Openspot4 will not power down

I search the forums for openspot4 will not shutdown. I tried the following.

pressed to power button
pressed the power down button for several seconds
-press the wifi button to get ap mode. This caused the green LED to flash off/on
is the next step to disconnect power and let the drain the battery?

PS I cannot access it from the web interface

I may be wrong but I think 30 seconds of pressing the power button could help.

Update. I unplugged the charger. After the battery was dead I plugged it back in. Everything works now.
