Serious Conductivity Issues with M1KE

Hello:

Took delivery of my M1KE on August 25th. Have never been able to connect it to my home wi-fi network while seventeen devices in my home have absolutely no problem doing so. I did get it to connect to my iPhone hotspot, but reset all profiles today and now I can't even connect to the hotspot. Basically what I have now is a $400 brick.

I'm willing to detail all steps taken during the past four days to get the M1KE to be more usable.

Please describe the steps you take to connect to your home Wi-Fi network.

My computer has wi-fi turned on. I put my M1KE in AP mode. I have the computer look for available networks and it finds the M1KE. I enter on "M1KE AP", and it takes me to the setup screen. From here, whether I select my 2.4GHz home wi-fi connection or my iPhone hotspot, the connection just times out. This is also the case when entering connection data on the M1KE device itself.

johnkw4u Update:
A compatibility setting was misconfigured on my iPhone hotspot, which, when configured appropriately, allowed my M1KE to connect to it. I still have "time out" occurring every time I attempt to connect to my home wi-fi network which the M1KE shows with four bars strength.

Try setting up the home Wi-Fi connection on the device display on the Settings -> Wi-Fi -> Wi-Fi connect screen.

What Conductivity is in the M1KE?

digitalvoice It has 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, this sometimes causes problems with APs that prioritise 5 and 6GHz and don't provide the best service to 2.4GHz which is seen as a 'legacy' band because of the congestion in urban areas.
