If you are like me, just purchased a M1KE but have no idea of what you should do to use it, here is a shortcut using some interesting nodes I have found. I can seldom run through them without finding at least one that's busy with traffic.
First make sure you register with TGIF Network here https://tgif.network/index.php You should see "Please Login or Register" near the top/center of the screen and a "Registration" button in the upper right corner. The reason for TGIF is because they allow you to connect in many different digital modes.
I HIGHLY recommend using the M1KE app (See 'Web interface' in your M1KE manual) on your computer to do the following (you have already gone through the M1KE initial setup, right?):
Make sure your computer is connected to the internet. Start the app. You will see a "Quick Call" tab all the way on the right of the screen. Click of that tab, it will bring up a pad of memory buttons that allow you to save your favorite nodes. Just type the node # only (as in the list below) in the blank diectly above the "Group call (check) Direct call" line. Click 'save as shortcut button' and then click on the button you want to save it to. Once memorized in the button, all you need to do is bring up this pad and click on the button to make a call or monitor the node (Auto group call 4000 should be checked off at the bottom of the pad, you must be in 'advanced' mode to see it). Here are the ones I have saved, feel free to copy and use them until you find and enter your own:
