Re: OS3 will not connect to TGIF

You add a two digit SSID at the end of your DMR ID to make it a 9 digit number instead of a 7 digit number. If your DMR ID is 1234567, add a 01 or 02 or 03 (up to 99) at the end of it to make it 123456701 or 123456702 or 123456703. Each hotspot you have should have a unique ID.

Re: OS3 will not connect to TGIF

By "network", I was referring to the TGIF network, not your home or cell phone network. Are you using the same DMR ID in both (or multiple) hotspots? Just because you shut your "home" hotspot off before you try to connect your OS3, TGIF does not allow the same ID to connect more than once, and a hot...

Re: OS3 will not connect to TGIF

Is it possible you have another hotspot connected to that network with the same DMR ID as your OS3? You cannot have more than one hotspot with the same ID connected to that network.

Re: P5 to DMR

P25 voice decoding and encoding is not supported by AMBE hardware. Per DVSI's website: "The enhanced full-rate AMBE+2™ vocoder is fully compatible with the older IMBE™ vocoder that was used in the APCO Project 25 Phase 1. Both vocoder rates can be set to run with or without Forward Error Correction."

Re: P25 to YSF/FCS

Most likely this is because the users in the reflector/room you're listening to are not using VW (full-rate codec), which would be required for your P25 radio to decode the voice stream without it being transcoded. Most YSF/FCS users use DN (half-rate codec) which is not natively compatible with P25...

Re: Changing the TX/RX freq?

If you're in the US, make sure you have a Part 90 commercial license for the frequency you are using and you are not using the openSPOT for amateur radio communications as both frequencies you referenced in your above posts are NOT within the US amateur radio 70cm band allocation.
