Re: yaesu radio id displayed on openspot

Not on RF, but it gets replaced on the network. This is a nice way to see on a reflector what hams are using, OpenSpot or devices using YSF Gateway :D
If I remember correctly, even old Yaesu transceiver firmwares did this, at least on FT1D.

Re: yaesu radio id displayed on openspot

YSF software replaces the radio ID with ALL if the DG is 0 or 1.
Wouldn't a similar thing be useful?

Re: YSF room question

You can run multiple instances of YSF reflectors on the same machine on different ports.
I think the detail how it is done exceeds this topic, but it is possible (e.g. I have 4 on my server).
The problem remains how to interconnect the Yaesu SW with YSF without using radios.

Re: Firmware Updates?

digitalvoice: First of all, who is "we"? Are you some kind of leader of a group? Or some kind of messiah? Speak for yourself. Maybe YOU don't want it. And it is very simple: don't want it, don't use it a.k.a. don't upgrade to newer firmwares possibly offering that functions. Ultimately, everything e...

Re: Wires-X Also on the openSPOT1?

The thing is that generally, if an official of a company "just mentions" that "we plan to do it", it is actually a commitment towards their customers. They didn't state "we MAY plan to do it". Planning something for a product means putting it in the product development plan and go with it as planned...

Re: Wires-X Also on the openSPOT1?

digitalvoice: It may be garbage to you, and if you do not want it, don't use it. As simple as that. But I would like Wires-X button commands to work on the OS, similar to ysfgateway, to get a reflector list, search for reflectors and allow reflector selection from the radio. Not necessary connection...

Re: D-STAR D-RATS on openSpot

I can confirm D-Rats working on the OS-1, since the OS is transparent for the any kind of data, including D-Star data transfers. This probably holds true for OS2, too.
The only issue is that your reflectors should also support this. Connecting it to an ircddb instance certainly works.

Re: Firmware Updates?

Why do you say they will be rendered useless? They will still work as before. Just there will be no more FW updates. The protocols to the servers will still be the same... But I reiterate the request: Please at least open/document the bootloader for custom firmwares, or (best case) opensource the ol...

Re: TS2 settings on DMR+/IPSC2

I have only an observation to add. On IPSC2, the sysop can allow some TGs on TS1 and others on TS2.
While the latest IPSC software allows full dynamic groups on both slots, it is still at sysop's discretion, so setting them on TS1 does not always work.

Re: TS2 TG DMRPlus options to the Homebrew connector

You can set TG2 options by hand in the raw option string in the DMR/Homebrew/MMDVM Connector since IPSC2 supports MMDVM mode on port 55555: - check MMDVM mode - configure your server - check Use DMRplus options - edit the Raw options, e.g. StartRef=4670;RelinkTime=;UserLink=1;TS1_1=226; TS2_1 =2262;...
