Re: FW & database download failures

Hello: I cannot capture the log right now. I did find how to and its a great option. I have been testing tonight and went to V44. Things are working just fine. I can only speculate that a local network issue existed but as time permits this week, I'll use the new OS2. Thank you for GREAT support and...

Re: Openspot 2 wifi radio issues

I am interested in any solution found or did you send the OS2 back? I have a new one experiencing drops and my Internet service and WiFi environment is clean. I am in a rural area and nothing to interfere. My channels are spread and known. Router is A/C and coverage is excellent as measured with a W...

Re: FW & database download failures

I just received a new OS2. I have 3 OS1's and another OS2 so I am familiar with the setup and configuration. The new OS2 came with FW 41. After setting the local network, I saw an upgrade available. It was the data upgrade. I allowed it to start, let it trickle in and next time I looked it was back ...

Re: Yaesu Personal Digital Node - Wires-X - Do I need it if I have OS2?

Bob: Thanks for the follow-up explanation. I think your video's are great and I am subscribed. I am new to the YSF and Wires-X world. I specifically jumped in so I had the full complement of digital (DRM, DStar and YSF). I will probably have enough access via OS2 but if I find myself needing more, I...

Re: Yaesu Personal Digital Node - Wires-X - Do I need it if I have OS2?

Perfect, Thank you.

I really did not want to jumo into more propriatory stuff and like the OS1 and 2 greatly. I wonder if the Wires-X will every come to the OS1? I think I read that it will not. Oh well :)

Have a great evening.

Re: Yaesu Personal Digital Node - Wires-X - Do I need it if I have OS2?

Thanks Nonoo. I am VERY happy with the OS2. Its fast, flexible and has the capability to keep me busy for a while. (I also have 3 OS1's). So, I will make the assumption that I can access some (or all) of the Wires-X rooms from a YSF radio when my OS2 is linked to a reflector that is also linked to W...

Yaesu Personal Digital Node - Wires-X - Do I need it if I have OS2?

Hello: I am very new to YSF and Wires-X. Just got an FT-2DR and have it linked to one of my OpenSpot's. I just discivered with new firmware and an expensive cable and link the Radio via a computer to Wires-X directly, no "hotspot" involved. So, not knowing what capabilities I have through the OS2 ye...

Multiple OpenSpot's - How close to each other can you place them?

Hello: I have 3 OpenSpots (V1) and I was planning to locate them about 18" apart form each other. I sadly have a wireless access point and 2.4ghz phone base within 4 feet from the openspots too. I am looking for information or best practive on distance apart. Obviously I have them transmitting on di...

Re: Where to get service

Wow, I just purchased my third OpeSpot a month ago and I am sure HRO had them listed just a couple of weeks ago. I wonder why they stopped selling them? They seemed to seel many of them. Frankly, if they sold you the device and its only 3 weeks old, they should provide a refund. If you paid by credi...
