Re: OS2 Range

Hello: I have found the Radio end of the box easily covers a large home (4000sqft) and most of the area outside the house within 30+ feet. I have found its more about keeping the OS2 close to you access point/router. The WiFi "Range" seems to be limited which is fine based on the use case for this d...

Re: Web Interface Just stops responding V48 (on two units)

Follow-up - Both OS2's working great.

Summary - Either they cannot deal with two access points with same name or more likely, cannot deal with an AP that is using channel width that switches between 20-40 mhz.

When I have more time, I might backtrack and see if I can create the problem again.

Re: Web Interface Just stops responding V48 (on two units)

Okay, I owe the community an update and, if what I found helps anyone, great. I have been twisted and turned on this troubleshooting adventure with multiple layers of issues. I am still testing but I have had 3 days of solid performance, no drops, web access to each OS2, no drops from wifi. I am spe...

Re: Web Interface Just stops responding V48 (on two units)

My second OpenSpot2 was connected to XRF for Papa Systems. Working for an hour or two. Then, same symptoms, Red/Blue LED, Internet Unreacable announcement. Cannot ping or access web interface. Seems to be a bug in firmward as I cannot beleive both OS2's are defective. I was using my first one on and...

D-Star - Should I have a terminal ID for each OpenSpot?

Hello: Should I have a different terminal ID for each OpenSpot I have? Right now, I have 5 OpenSpots, 3 x OS1 and 2x OS2 and I think they only have my call sign. If I do, and I have enough registered, where would I put this in the Openspot setup or is it passed through from the radion and I don't ha...

Re: Web Interface Just stops responding V48 (on two units)

I have been monitoring one OpenSpot2 for the last two hours. Its on REF001C. All other devices on the same network are working. I get the Audible Openspot Internet Unreachable announcement. I cannot ping the device and the LED's are Blue/Red with a fast red when it announces the error every 30 secon...

Re: Sharing OS2 problem and root cause

Follow-up:
I am still pretty sure I can a cable issue but as you can see from another post about not being able to access the web interface, I am having trouble with two OS2's.

I don't think its the hardware, it probably my test methodology.

Re: Web Interface Just stops responding V48 (on two units)

Hello: I am completelly confused and again deep in testing and trying to capture the symptoms. Previously, only one of my two OS2's exibited symptoms and after much testing, updating to V48, I swapped the cable (not PSU) and it seems to fix the issue. Now I have been more observant and able to spend...
