Also make sure you don't try to connect to a wifi connection with your phone. Sometimes if it sees a wifi connection that it can connect to, it will knock off the hotspot and try to connect your phone to the wifi in your house or something.

I am not arguing either point except for the guy that stated that "but some cars are being shipped only support 5 GHz WiFi". That's bull. In the US, its a requirement to carry that in vehicles, even imports.

Please consider adding 5 GHz WiFi to future products. An increasing number of cars are shipping with built-in hotspots, but some only support 5 GHz WiFi. This isn't the fault of SharkRF, but future OpenSpots will be more attractive if they support 5 GHz. Thanks for a great product! I love my OpenSp...

Why can I not connect to the openspot using http://SharkRF.link or http://openspot3.local?
I sometimes have to use the IP address of the openspot to get into the configuration screens....
