Re: Browser resets and looses connection to OS2

After wasting a lot of time watching the log without catching a disconnect, I took a different route. Of my three OS2 devices, only the one connected to FCS04/022 (American Ragchew) was consistently causing browser disconnects. Watching the connection activity showed a lot of "dirty data" flowing th...

Re: Browser resets and looses connection to OS2

A possible contributing factor is I appear to lose browser connection when a severely over-driven DMR radio lands in a FCS room I'm monitoring with a C4FM radio. That situation seems to cause the OS2 to drop connection to the FCS server and get into a disconnect/reconnect cycle. After a number of cy...

Re: Browser resets and looses connection to OS2

Even using RF link will not restore only way is to power off and then it reboots!! Agree! There seems to be a timeout issue when one has left the OS2 page and attempts to return sometime later. The OS2 is clearly working because I can transmit to the target room and I can hear all QSOs without issu...

Re: Browser resets and looses connection to OS2

This is the EXACT same behavior I am experiencing. There has got to be a bug in the firmware somewhere. I have been working with the team here and have firmware version v54 and still no resolution. I'm also seeing the identical behavior, but starting with the V54 firmware update. Previous firmwares...

Re: OpenSpot2 switching to another of configured WIFI's

Yeah... I should have mentioned that! Not sure about Android phones, but iPhones only advertise the personal hotspot when actually on that screen...and even then, only for a short time. So (at least with iPhone), timing and sequence of hooking up is important! Apologies for leaving that tidbit out. ...

Re: OpenSpot2 switching to another of configured WIFI's

I don't know the settings...but I recall it was several minutes before it tried the next entry. On at least one occasion, it never connected to the next entry. That prompted me to switch the slots. I don't see any setting that would alter the number of retries or the timeout span, nor do I know the ...

Re: OpenSpot2 switching to another of configured WIFI's

Try putting the vehicle in the first slot, home in second slot. In my experience when any WiFi disconnects, the OS2 appears to start searching at the top of the list. With the vehicle first, you won't have to wait for the search on the home slot to time out and the search the vehicle slot. Works wel...

Re: openspot2 and wires-x node

No other way! Build/use an existing Linux/Unix server and install/configure the reflector app. You have to create a communication bridge to your room. Yaesu provides a connect path from Wires nodes to your room, but doesn't provide a path for non-Wires users.

Re: Wires connection

Gents...out of desperation, I've wiped the radio and the OS2. Reloaded only what's needed to get basic communication to the Internet for the OS2 and manually added both a VFO entry and a mem channel to the radio. Apparently, mem channel 1 in the radio has the priority flag set by default after a res...
