Re: Full Duplex for next version?

Agreed that it makes DMR much more usable, but there is definitely benefit with other modes as well; particularly D-Star.

This comes when you have two quick-keying, long-winded old men on a reflector. With a duplex hotspot, you can send a disconnect command even while they are transmitting.

Re: Does Openspot 3 Support Advanced P25 Features?

I don't know about every single jurisdiction; but in the United States, encryption is illegal on the frequencies at which the OpenSpot3 operates.

I am well aware of this fact. I was simply illustrating how it is implemented there.

Re: DG-ID YCS Fusion II

An 'Options' line has recently been added in YSFGateway to set multiple DG-IDs to monitor on a YCS server. For example, if you set your default connection to FCS31080, and set 'Options=79, 80' you would hear traffic from both room 79 and room 80. A TX DG-ID on your radio of 79 allows you to transmit...

Re: SRF Connector Analog Bridge

To the best of my knowledge, the easiest way to bridge C4FM with FM is to use a combination of programs: Allstar on the FM side (the Allstar node can connect to and be connected to by Echolink nodes) Analog_bridge with a USB AMBE stick Some digital network (C4FM, D-Star or DMR). If there is an extan...

QuadNet callsign routing for D-Star

I have an OpenSpot3 on the way. It is basically every single thing I wanted, with a few exceptions. One is callsign routing. The Trust system callsign routing is simply outdated in 2020. The OpenSpot's inability to do full ircddb callsign routing is the only reason I still run a Pi-Star. Making this...

Re: Changing D-Star reflector with DMR radio

Forgive my inaccuracy. Managing D-Star reflectors, it is simply burned into my brain that Mod A is 1, Mod B is 2, and so forth.

Re: Siri Integration!

This is very unlikely--if not downright impossible--given that Apple does not license Siri out. This makes sense, given that Apple is a hardware company. On the other hand, Google Assistant would be technically possible. I managed to get it up and running as a test on my XLX reflector. I took it dow...

Re: Internal battery

Replaceable batteries seem to have fallen out of favor everywhere. I don't like it, but I can understand why. The physical design of the device must be completely different, and the battery itself must be packaged differently. From a manufacturing standpoints, the easiest way to do this would be to ...

Re: Changing D-Star reflector with DMR radio

Once extended, will it become a 6 digit code with 3 digits for all reflectors?

ex. 100103 for REF001C
