Return and Refund

I have spent the last 9 1/2 days trying to get my OpenSpot3 to work with my iPhone. I have tried all the advice given. It still links to my iPhone inconsistently. My Zumspot always links to my iPhone. I only got the OpenSpot3 because it is more portable and does not need one to carry an external bat...

Re: Connected... Disconnected...Connected...Disconnected

Dougga,
Was your problem resolved? I see a lot of these post just end without a posted resolution.

Re: Inconsistent Connecting with iPhone

N1IG, Thanks for responding. I appreciate it when people take the time to respond. I purchased the OpenSpot3 to work when I go out on my daily walks. Even if it worked with my home WiFi it will not be accomplishing what I purchased it for. To work with my iPhone out doors. It supposedly works great ...

Re: Inconsistent Connecting with iPhone

Just in case you mention it. I renamed my iPhone to a one word 5 letter name and the password was also changed to a one word password. No extra characters or symbols there. Also I did change my iPhone DNS to what is recommended. To no effect. I renamed my iPhone weeks ago when I used my small Zumspo...

Re: Inconsistent Connecting with iPhone

Norbert, I have been keeping that page open since day 2 of owning the OpenSpot3. Makes no difference. My sentiment is that someone out there must know exactly why it has inconsistent connections. I don't want to play a guessing game. I want to fix why it does not work or return the unit. There are o...

Inconsistent Connecting with iPhone

I have had the OpenSpot3 since the evening of September 15. In that time I have had the OpenSpot3 work fine for a whole day, only to not work the next day. It has done this consistently, work one day and not the next. Once something works, I don't mess with the settings. Equipment I am using is Kenw...

Purpose of Bottom Hole

I see there is a small hole that goes completely through the OpenSpot3 case. What is the purpose of the hole? Do people attach a lanyard to it and wear the OpenSpot3 around their necks. Which is a great idea for Pedestrian Mobile.

Re: Wifi

I also created two Profiles. One for use with my iPhone Wifi for when I go out pedestrian portable and one for use with my home Wifi network. I know I could have just added the extra SSID, but my home network reaches out a few city blocks, since I am up on the 12th floor. It would take it too long t...

Re: OS3 First Impressions

Thank you all for your comments. I appreciate it very much. I had a GREAT time using the OpenSpot3 today. It worked well. In fact I had forgotten how quickly OpenSpots turn on and connect. Upon turning it on It connect to the D-Star Reflector within 10 seconds! Wow! I did not have any issues after t...

OS3 First Impressions

Where do I start? In setting up my new OS3 for use with my iPhone and Kenwood D74A, I found it was like pulling teeth. Actually more like fighting for every inch of soil on Normandy Beach on D-Day. The OpenSpot3 is not as easy to setup and operate as many have said and shown on videos. Just to conne...
