Re: Wires-X Button

Sounds like you've accidentally configured the radio to automatically use the second frequency whenever you "connect" to the server. Go to the wiresx menu in settings and tap menu item 1. set it to manual.

Re: interesting Reflectors

You may want to try some of the XRF reflectors. I hang out on XRF002A most of the time. Theres some very interesting subject based nets on the XRF side.

Re: Yaesu Personal Digital Node - Wires-X - Do I need it if I have OS2?

Speaking specifically in the fusion world: The OSP2 can utilize the wiresx button and bring up a wires like interface but it is not wiresx. Wiresx is a proprietary system owned and operated by Yaesu. The only way to access it is from a Wiresx node. YSF and FCS on the other hand are open source proto...

Would sending a 4000 DTMF call from the radio disconnect it.
TG 4000 does not work in the fusion world. Thats a DMR command. Connecting to a busy reflector is just a cost of doing business. At least the reflectors are busy. Its a good indication that the hobby is active.

Hi, love you videos! I am new to the openspot2 and would like to change reflectors from my id5100 and not from the iPhone and openspot2 software. Can this be done similar to a DVAP? Thanks for the help. Andrew KN4HLD.
Yes. Watch my new video on how to do this.

Re: openSPOT 2 Workshop Series

Bob, I found you on YouTube before I saw the posting here but I gotta tell you, the 2 videos I saw from you were awesome. I did learn alot. What we need next is some FB live time to do some "experimenting" or hands on with others so we can compare notes. I was able to get a OS2 to OS2 private call ...

Re: FT2D via OpenSpot 2 Displaying a repeating R>'callsign'

When monitoring the America Link on the YSFReflector, my Yaesu FT2D (via the OpenSpot 2) flashes R>N5YX then flashes the active station's call sign - back and forth perpetually. Looking for information and troubleshooting. The Room owner has it configured that his callsign flashes along with the cu...

Does a private call to TG 4000 also work for non-Brandmeister repeaters?
It should if your using a network that uses the same back end command structure.

If your in DMR mode it would work unless there's someone else talking. In that case you have to send the 4000 code through the web portal.
