Just a quick question Norbert, why does the dmr database download only take a few seconds on the OS1 whereas on the OS2 it takes for ages and often fails/disconnects during download, resulting in the fact that until it does successfully download, which in my case sometimes takes hours or even days I...

Re: DMR ID database update.

Ah! I see, the problem occurs in Microsoft edge, just tried Chrome and the settings are saved :P

DMR ID database update.

I am trying to switch off the Auto update DMR ID database facility. I untick the box and then click the blue save button. Every time I re-start the Openspot dashboard the database updates and the box has a tick in it. Obviously it is not a serious issue to me using the Openspot, I just wondered why ...

Re: Openspot2 issues connecting to Phoenix

I had exactly the same problem myself, It's almost as if the Phoenix network want to make it difficult to connect to, you will see from my post that the info on the opendmr.net website was/still is incorrect: https://forum.sharkrf.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3765&p=18083&hilit=phoenix#p18083 http://www....

Re: Callsign database keeps failing to download

I had the same problem today, about 6 attempts to download the database, was getting to about 60-70% then just stopping, manually re-starting the database download the same thing happened. Eventually on the 7th attempt it did get to 100% then verified OK. My OpenSpot2 is near my wifi sender and alwa...

Re: Using the DMR Phoenix network

Thanks for your help Norbert, I found out what the main problem was, the information on the opendmr.net website showing the connector configuration for the Openspot is incorrect !! It says to use the DMR Plus / dongle protocol, I found out after much research that it was changed last year to the MMD...

Re: Using the DMR Phoenix network

Thanks for that, so in practice I need one channel programmed on my radio with the reflector number set to private, 4402 for example, then I need to switch channel to one programmed with TG9 set as a group call in order to talk through the reflector? :?:
