In case there is any confusion:
Max. 150 mA = .15 amp
Avg. 115 mA = .115 amp
Avg. 65mA = .065 amp (with enabled powersaving)

Re: IPv6 Support
Bummer. I would very much like to go 100% IPv6 in my home, and my openSPOT2 is one of two devices I have which are preventing this.

Re: Number of static talk groups?
Hmm, I am lost now. How can you hear the TG’s in the RX Group that you assigned to each channel? You may find, as I do, that, occasionally, a TG starts to dominate your hotspot with a conversation between two hams that are having a conversation that doesn't interest you, and you'd like to free up y...

Re: Number of static talk groups?
Interesting. Does this mean that the talk groups in your “BM ALL” list are all Made static in your Brandmeister dashboard setting? No no no... My BM ALL RG isn't about having a lot of TGs all active or static at once; It's about being lazy... erm, efficient , with my radio channel programming. :)

Re: Using Motorola XPR 7550 with Open Spot 2
First, This post should be in the openSPOT2 section. This is the section for the original openSPOT. That said, you connect to other talk groups by creating additional channels for the other talk groups like any other DMR radio. Motorola radios don't have front panel programming support (that I've ev...

Re: Number of static talk groups?
But back to your earlier comment, "The first one to transmit wins". So if I want to join the conversation, that sounds like it would be troublesome if I have too many static talk groups. Exactly. A lot of folks in the early days of DMR in Ham Radio figured this out all too quickly when they set up ...

Re: Weird blip at the beginning of transmission
Thankfully I haven't noticed this interfering with normal transmissions coming from BM, so it's just a minor annoyance.

Re: Number of static talk groups?
I have set up static talk groups 123 & 456. I'm listening to a conversation on a channel that is linked to talk group 123. There is a brief pause in the conversation. Meanwhile, a conversation begins on talk group 456. So the OpenSpot switches, and begins transmitting that conversation. My radio is...
