Im sorry but this is wrong so basically our devices will be rendered useless if this is the case there is no reason for anyone to buy any of your products if they arent supported every time you release a new product, this move surely will pass around the ham community Im sorry , take your $$ and run...

Will you continue to provide Firmware Updates for the original openspot(s)
I really need the cat5 connector for my application
the new model is nice but doesnt fit my needs
I have no desire to buy another model
if that is the case Ill go with pistar

I didnt see this mentioned I use color code 1 and timeslot 2, TS 2 is key to getting it working properly make sure you are using talk group 9 aka local for cross mode That should not be the case - the OpenSpot works with either TS1 or TS2, as both are in use during transmissions. Just pick one. OK ...

I mounted my openspot on the inside of the window vertically and added a nagoya NA771 antenna to it
it now covers approx 1 mile around my village
you can buy dmr amps on ebay for as little as $100

after playing with allstar for quite a few years
I say avoid any device that uses a raspberry pi
as they say it'll crash when you least expect it
the shark rf I just in and it works
however I only use it for dmr and know nothing about dstar and its use there
