I have setup my Radioddity to use all of the correct settings for my OpenSpot: * 436.00 TX and RX frequencies * CC1 and TS1 * TGs for several TGs that I regularly use with other radios * TG9 in the appropriate rx group list (I can hear announcements so this works) I ran through autocal for demod mod...

Great in theory, but I use my OpenSpot regularly, including on unsecured networks to get access... What you suggest is effectively security by obscurity and has been proven time and time and...wait for it.... time again to be ineffective...

Re-opening this one, never saw any kind of a response really... but it should be fairly trivial to enable https using a self signed certificate or set it up as an option after initial setup... Again, I realize that this is not a critical piece of hardware, but it falls into the "IoT" and when bad gu...

SSL should be the standard (https) for management of the openSPOT, sending a password in cleartext is very bad :D
