Re: DMR SMS

"Does this mean that a text message can be sent to every radio listening to a talkgroup?"

If so I can see where it might be usfull during a net to send and email address to everybody on the net to be sure they got the spelling right or some other similar information.

Re: DMR SMS

"Modem: sending SMS using the modem to your radio." Please clarify. Does that mean sending SMS to my radio or sending it to someone else's radio. I used it today to successfully send a text to my own radio which is of little value. WB5NIA and I did some experimenting today using modem to send texts ...

Re: Connecting Shark To Iphone

I believe there may be a conflict between the iPhone personal hotspot and the iPhone Bluetooth. I notice that I occasionally get the couldn't get status updates error message on the web interface when using my iPhone for internet access for my Openspot when out and about mobile. Sometimes it would e...

Re: WiFi HotSpot with OpenSpot IP & solution

Best as I can tell from your translation you are using an app called "network security scanner" to find the IP address without the aid of a laptop. Although there are several IP address scanners listed in the Apple App Store, one with that name is not listed. I tried a couple of them with no luck. A...

Re: WiFi HotSpot with OpenSpot IP & solution

I really don't understand what you are saying. You seem to be saying there is an app that you used to find the IP address but is not clear what that app is. I found the IP address to use with my iPhone by simply connecting to my iPhone hot spot with a laptop while it is connected to my TP-Link which...

Re: Connecting Shark To Iphone

I really couldn't say how much it uses but don't think it is much. I am a pretty heavy user and I use about 6gigs for everything. The airport I hang out at has wifi but it is horrible slow so I use 4G a lot. My wife uses practically none as she is home on wifi 99% of the time.

Re: sms messages

Thanks but I think I will wait until the beta test is over, but I am looking forward to having the SMS text messages implemented.

Re: Connecting Shark To Iphone

You should configure the TP-Link in the client mode to connect to you iPhone personal hotspot. The iPhone will not recognize the Hotspot login page just from the name so you have to connect to the hotspot with a computer and login once and the address shown in your browser will show the IP address n...
