Re: Connecting to local rptr

I have connected to a repeater via a repeater on the Brandmiester network by using a channel programmed using the repeater ID number, which can be found in the DMR-MARC database, as a group call. I see no reason why it should not work the same using the Openspot.

Re: Brandmeister Talkgroups

I would also recommend the Texas talkgroup 3148 as a place for info on Brandmeister. They have a net on Tuesdays at 7pm central time. They usually have a Brandmeister expert put on a program. Also 3148 I a pretty active talkgroup with hams from US an Europe. They also have a Facebook page Brandmeist...

Re: Brandmeister Talkgroups

Normaly Openspot connects to the last talkgroup you were connected to unless you have set up auto connect which is not recommend because it sends pings on the network that are annoying. Best way to change is to have the channels programmed in your radio with the your Openspot frequency and the talkg...

Re: First photos and QSOs

Yes I simply unplug the Ethernet cable from the N150 and then power up the unit with a button on the battery pack. Then I turn on personal hot spot on my iPhone and wait for it to connect to the N150 and then plug the Ethernet cable back in and I am off and running. With 12,000 mah I should get seve...

DMR radio to DStar network?

Is this implemented yet? I was told on the air today that it wasn't and that it would never happen.

Re: US Retailer?

Grapevine has another batch on order that I believe is coming in the next shipment out of Estonia. I understand he has more coming this time but I would advise to order now if you want one as they are selling like hot cakes.

Re: 3100 appears to be static on my Openspot

So that explains why the 3100 talk group appears to be static on my Openspot. I believe that the central US server has the 3100 talkgroup static. I do know that it is static on our local repeaters here in Oklahoma that use that server. But I assume that unlike a repeater I can go ahead on my Openspo...
