Re: 3100 appears to be static on my Openspot

I don't believe that on the Openspot that all talkgroups are supposed to be static otherwise is should not be necessary to key up a talkgroup to hear it. It was my understanding that the Openspot can only handle one talkgroup or reflector at a time. So it would seem that if I key up 3140 or 3148 tha...

Re: 3100 appears to be static on my Openspot

Maybe I am wrong but it was my understanding that the sending of 4000 was to turn off Brandmeister reflectors which are in the number range of 4001 to 4999. 3100 is not a reflector but is a talkgroup, but I will give it a try.

3100 appears to be static on my Openspot

Talk group 3100 (USA) appears to be static on my Openspot like it is on my local repeaters. Does this create a problem when I try to use other TS1 talkgroups? Normally on the repeaters I have to wait until the traffic clears before keying up a different TG on TS1. One the reasons I purchased the Ope...

Re: FIRMWARE 57

Rather than buy a new one why not ship it back for repair as Norbert suggested? Or perhaps you want to keep it for a paperweight? :?

Strange

Today my Openspot continued receiving talkgroup 3148 after switching to 3140 or 3105 by keying my radio even though the status page indicated that I was no longer on 3148. I have never noticed it doing that before.

Re: Shark switches connections on DMR

Sometimes when you add or delete group call contacts (talkgroups) to the contacts list in the MD380 software it unsyncs them and you will discover the your channels will have the wrong talkgroup in it. That may have happened to you. If you add or delet talkgroups from you contacts list you need to c...

Re: It just works. Period.

You don't need a USB port to have wifi. The Ethernet port will work also with one of these.

Re: Any MD-380 DMR Code Plug Examples?

You program it pretty much as you would for a repeater, but with a simplex frequency. Receive group is unnecessary as you can only receive the group you have activated by transmitting. Time slot does not matter. Also you cannot scan channels so no need for scan list. CC is default to 1 but can be ch...

Re: New User

Got your email and as you know you got it working. Enjoyed the QSO we had on the Oklahoma TG. Sorry I had to run and hope to work you later on Brandmeister. DMR is cool, I help a ham in VK land on the Internet and pretty soon I have a QSO with him on my talkie in Oklahoma!
