Re: New User

Here is a map of DMR repeaters. It only shows DMR-MARC repeaters in VK land but could be out of date. I know there are some BM repeaters here in Oklahoma that are not on the map.

Not on all the time but usually monitor Oklahoma when I am on. Hope to hear you soon.

Re: New User

Timeslot does not matter on the open spot. Color code can be changed in the Openspot but the default is 1 so just use 1. Your talkgroup numbers are DMR-MARC numbers. Hot spots cannot be used on the DMR-MARC network but are used on the Brandmeister network. Some of the numbers are the same and in som...

Re: New User

There are other ways to connect to talkgroups manually though talkgroup 9 but I perfer using channels. At least for the channels I am most likely to use like USA and my statewide, surrounding states, and states whe I have friends.

Re: New User

You need to program additional channels in the radio in the same way but use the talkgroup that you want instead of the 9999 Openspot echo talkgroup. For instance 3100 for USA or 3148 for Texas. They should be entered in your contacts list as group calls. 9999 should be a private call in the contact...

Re: Can OpenSpot connect to DMR TAC310?

"The other option keeps you linked to the current connection by sending a quick data burst to the master to let it know you are still there."

Still not sure what you mean by the other option? What is it called? How do you program it in the Openspot web interface?

Re: Can OpenSpot connect to DMR TAC310?

Oklahoma is static on the 2 Brandmeister repeaters currently in operation in the OKC area by request of the repeater owners. All other statewides are dynamic and so it should be since you are not connecting through a repeater but directly into the net with Openspot for all statewide TG's including O...

Re: Can OpenSpot connect to DMR TAC310?

But does that interfere when you are off on a different TG by trying to reconnect you?

Re: Can OpenSpot connect to DMR TAC310?

" PTT ones like the statewides and the TAC's need to be refresh periodically." Is there anyway to program the Openspot to do this automaticly on a particular TG? On my local repeaters the Oklahoma TG is static so it is a handy place where we have local QSO's and friends from out of the sta...

Re: Programing channels for my DMR radio

I will probably use the preprogrammed channel method most of the time but will also have a channel programmed for TG9 that I can use for a contact or reflector that I might not have programmed. I am pretty familiar with how Brandmeister works as we have a couple of local Brandmeister repeaters and t...
