Re: Strange LED's on openSPOT

NO.

The OS is only used by our weather spotter ham team members when called out during severe weather. County officials have nothing to do with any of the permanently installed amateur radio equipment located in the 911 bunker. We have several radios and computers for our use only.

Re: Profile change from radio question

Blind spot for me. In the NULL Connector, I did not set the modem frequencies (TX/RX). Once I did that, all is good.

Re: Profile change from radio question

It is, and has been always selected. I can change profiles back and forth except when I change to Profile 4, which is NULL and the mode is still DMR Hotspot. There is no going back once I select that except from the OS web pages. Also there is no announcement that I've changed to the NULL Connector ...

Profile change from radio question

I have programmed TG's 90000 - 90004 to change profiles from the radio, all of which work just fine. However, 90004 is set to change to the "NULL" connector to take the OS off line for whatever reason. This also works as expected and changes the Connector to NULL. But after that, I can no longer sen...

Re: CWID not heard

Bottom line is you won't hear it on the MD380 in DMR mode. However, if you listen to the openSPOT transmit frequency on an analog FM receiver, then you will see the radio LED flash and hear the squelch drop. You can also watch the CW ID on the openSPOT TX red LED flash the code.

Re: Strange LED's on openSPOT

Our county emergency operations center and 911 dispatch center. It's actually underground and built like a WW2 bunker, just no blast doors. The place I would want to be if an EF5 tornado decided to hit.

Strange LED's on openSPOT

Interesting situation with an openSPOT this morning. Had a report that the OS installed in the local 911 bunker was not working. In checking with BM, it was shown as off line as well. Went out there this morning and found the Status and ACT LED's doing a dance. Mostly red, but occasionally red/green...

Re: Brandmeister TG 0 "bleedthrough"

I didn't snap a shot of the BM page, but I've seen the TG0's for some time show up there, but only recently making it through to my OS. Nothing serious, but an interesting anomaly for sure. It's still amazing to an old, retired IT guy that this stuff works as well as it does.

Re: Brandmeister TG 0 "bleedthrough"

For the past week or so, I've experienced TG0 coming through my OS as well. It displays on the log page (if opened) and on the MD380 last heard list (#4), both at TG0. It typically seems to be only DX stations from Europe. It is relatively short-lived and I hear both sides of a QSO and sometimes jus...

Re: Rf shark openspot stuck in "updating sortware mode"

Sounds like you unplugged the USB before the firmware update was complete. With it unplugged, press the reset button while plugging in the USB for at least 10 seconds to restore the default firmware.
