Re: cannot connect to computer

In my first paragraph I left out one thing. If you want to use the web server in the OS to start the update, you still must have the OS USB plugged into the computer you are using to do the update. The FW update is pushed through the USB connector only to the OS. So just press the reset button when ...

Re: cannot connect to computer

Mike, I'm sorry you had problems, as it really is a very quick and simple process. A network has nothing to do with the FW update as it's not involved in any way, unless you want open a web browser, connect to the OS, then navigate to the Settings page and scroll to the bottom in order to press the ...

Re: Firm ware

Plug the OS into a USB port on your computer to get the BOOTLOADER to come up as a drive. You do not use or need the LAN cable for updating. Drag and drop the bin FW file to it and wait about a minute. The OS will reboot and BOOTLOADER driver will return with SUCCESS.TXT in the file list for that dr...

Name not staying on log page

This afternoon, I've noticed that the Status Page Log is not keeping the name shown. After about 3-5 seconds, it changes to the DMR ID or some other comment. This just started sometime after lunch today. I've not seen this before. Last night during our Arkansas Net, it was solid with call and name a...

Re: cannot connect to computer

In several places I check online, I'm finding folks have the USB plugged into their computer and no LAN plugged into the Ethernet jack on the openSPOT thinking that is all they need since the computer is connected to their home network. Or they connect the openSPOT Ethernet cable to the Ethernet con...

Re: Firmware Upgrade--windows 10

Just remove the USB from the wall wart and plug it into a USB port on your computer while pressing the reset button on the OS. That is the only way the computer will show the BOOTLOADER drive, when it does, you will hear the tones from your computer. Then drag and drop the .bin file and sit back for...

AutoCal features

I'm seeing more and more folks not realizing the AutoCal feature needs to be run first. My thoughts on the matter. 1) Have AutoCal be the factory default connector when initially setting up the openSPOT out of the box with a wee bit of instruction in the progress bar, such as "key up radio to start ...

FW 105 DMR ID Update button - supersized

After checking the DMR ID update box and the save button, the blue Update button immediately went double size. It now blocks the check box for DMR ID updates. This only happens in Chrome. I've cleared Chrome's cache and all settings with the master Reset. The oversize button seems to be fixed. In Fi...
