Re: DMR to Dstar without modem change

DSTAR can not be transcode to any other mode ,fusion and DMR can be because they use the same codec .

Re: Is there a browser for Amazon fire that will display my openspot?

I left the fire on my desk ( it probably doesn't have a pulse or suffocated from dust) when I figured out I had to play "real" android "radio games" and bought something else . Sent from m...

Re: On/OFF Switch

Re: DMR radio with openspot

You could have avoided spending the hundred bucks for a DMR radio and just crossmodeing the 991,dstar can't crossmode so you will have to pony up for a dstar rig if you want to play over there .

Re: RE: Re: DMR Radio Choice

milehigher mentioned the Yaesu FT1D. I own one as well but paid way more than they are currently selling for :( . But, if you intend to use the radio you buy mostly with an openSPOT the FT1D is worth a look. The openSPOT can do cross mode DMR/Fusion so if you went with the FT1D you can still play o...

Re: DMR Radio Choice

Why not step up from the 380 monbander into the MD 2017 and have both , the openspot is currently UHF only , but If you live somewhere with VHF of have analog repeater contacts the dual bander would serve you better longer. I won't buy a long band radio, because even at the lowest cost resale value ...
