Re: WiresX

You could buy an HRI 200 and connect it to your computer and radio , you don't even need a Yaesu to do it, I have seen guys run wires x off of a Kenwood 710g without a problem, so if wires is a high priority for you , that's an option. Re: Dstar reflector using DMR radio over OpenSpot?

Bill dstar does not cross platform currently , DMR to Fusion or vice certain works a charm, dstar is separate for now. Use a Yaesu or DMR to access those .

Re: Sudden jump in BER while transmitting in DMR

There has been a lot of system problems with DMR recently , so I would think that it's the system rather than the Openspot . Of course Norbert will be better able to say for sure.

Re: CWID not heard

Nope the 74a doesn't do sideband ,then again half of the radio isn't in the manual that it shipped with, but I love mine, it's never far away.

Re: DTMF speed

I don't have that radio, but you might want to look through the settings there usually is a setting for how fast the tones are sent when dialing,at least on every rig I have owned .

Re: CWID not heard

You need a radio that does 70 cm all mode, most all of the "Shack in a box" radios will do the trick , such as the Yaesu FT 991A, the Icom IC 7100, the Kenwood TS 2000 etc..

Re: New guy question, is Shark RF for me?

If you have an ID 51A plus 2 your radio has the Hotspot built in ! I believe the cable for connection of the radio tho computer comets with it, loom at the manual and verify what came with your radio.

Re: Open Spot and DVMega Dual Band on UHF

If one is dual band either put them at opposite ends of the band or use one on VHF you resolve problems.
