Re: Cross mode from C4FM to DMR

I did the echo test on DMR and it sounded OK. The dejitter graph did have some up and down movement, but not a lot. I am wondering about the packet settings. Mine are very different from the ones shown in the manual.

Re: Getting reports of 25 to 50% packet loss.

I am guessing from your reply that there is nothing I can do on this end to improve things. I do hope there is something that can be done. I will try anything you think may help. I also want to thank WA5NIA for his input.

Re: Getting reports of 25 to 50% packet loss.

Of the three suggestions in your previous reply, the one that makes me want to know more is the first one. Are there setting on my FT991 that should be looked at? Thanks for all your help.

Re: Getting reports of 25 to 50% packet loss.

I did the echo test and my dejitter showed my signal going straight across the top. But, I just got reports from other stations that the dejitter graph is all over the place. Another thing I tried was turning down the power to 5 watts. One station said that helped some.

Cross mode from C4FM to DMR

Most of the people who I have contacted have said I am losing 20 to 30% packet loss on DMR. Another question came up about autocal from a fusion radio. Will autocal work with my FT991?

Re: Firmware Upgrade--windows 10

I am having the same problem but from a different angle. The upgrade is a .bin file and I am not sure how to open it.

Getting reports of 25 to 50% packet loss.

Running FT991 and openspot is connected direct to my router. I am using a different antenna because of the distance to the router. I tried lowering the power on the radio but no help. If anybody is having the same issue I would like any help. BTW- I am doing cross mode from C4FM to DMR.

Re: Computer says it can't find the openspot

I am back on again. I hooked the openspot direct to the router. It is in another room so I put another antenna on the openspot to get some more gain and it seems to work ok. I am still hoping to figure out how to get the computer to work with the openspot. I will not give up.

Re: Computer says it can't find the openspot

When I run PuTTY I get what you showed in your reply with the exception "actip" shows 0.0.0.0.
