Currently the D-STAR echo reply is limited around 2 seconds. This is only mentioned in the openSPOT3 user manual, but we'll add it to the openSPOT2 user manual.

If you use a small screen device to open the openSPOT2's web interface then the top menu bar can be opened by clicking on the hamburger menu icon (2 horizontal lines) at the top right of the web interface.

This message is shown when the server reports to the openSPOT3 that the connection is in read only mode. Passwords are passed as hashes by the openSPOT so even if an attacker has access to your traffic, it is extremely hard to get the password out of the data stream, unless you use very weak passwords.
