We don't plan to add APRS modem mode.

Except here in the United States, there's a 10 minute station ID rule we HAVE to abide by though

As such, the ONE HOUR thing COULD pose some LEGAL problems with The FCC

The openSPOT2 does not transmit APRS over RF. For RF identification you can use the CWID feature.

Nevertheless, it's STILL going out over RF !!

It doesn't matter if it's going out over 144.390 or someplace on 440 !! It's STILL RF & STILL subject to station ID requirements just as EchoLink & IRLP nodes are
