Update OS2 to latest firmware from v47

Post by larry »

I have an OS2 that has been in the box unopened since I ordered it a few years ago. I set it up today and It is up and running fine and I thought I'd update the firmware but when I click on the upgrade button in the web interface it tells me that it is retrying the update check over and over. I've tried different settings in the firmware upgrade settings section and all check boxes are checked and i've changed the auto upgrade at to various times in the past/future but can't seem to trigger an upgrade. Reading the forum I see there may be a problem upgrading from older firmware. Here is a copy of my log. I see errors with ssl connect in the OS2 log so I've tried connecting to other WiFi APs and my LTE hotspot but that doesn't seem to change my ability to fetch the latest firmware. I see that https://www.sharkrf.com/products/openspot2/changelog/ shows v75 is the latest available.

I also don't see any messages in the network or console tabs in the web browser developer tools when I click on the OS2 web interface upgrade button. I've tried the latest versions of Chrome, FireFox, and Microsoft Edge (Chrome version) on Windows 10.

v47 is a very old firmware version, and the automatic upgrade from it is no longer possible. Contact support at info@sharkrf.com for the manual upgrade instructions.
