Failed upgrade
Failed upgrade
What could cause multiple firmware upgrade downloads to fail? It can’t be my internet because everything else internet related works just fine ie. browsing, video streaming, etc.

Re: Failed upgrade
What do you mean by upgrade downloads to fail? It does not go up to 100%?

Re: Failed upgrade
I have the same problem. Also if I try to download the data/callsigndatabase.
After a few minutes or sometimes seconds there appears a warning: (in a red box) "Firmware upgrade download failed." The last time after 70% of downloading.
And as far as I know, I have no problem with my Internet connection.

Re: Failed upgrade
Yes I’m still getting the same thing this morning. I watched it get all the way to 95-96% and then it fails 5 times last night. I shut them both down last night & booted them back up this morning. It must’ve went into auto download because when I brought up the interface & went to tools it was already downloading. Again it got to 95% and stopped and red box said download failed. My other OS*2 required me to request an upgrade 2 times before it took the the 3rd time.

Re: Failed upgrade
Yes Norbert it gets to about 95% & then says it fails. I tried 5 times same thing. This morning it auto started the download, got to 95% & failed again. My other openSPOT*2 riquired a request 3 times before it actually took it & upgraded.

Re: Failed upgrade
Now I have found the solution, at least in my case.
I have two different Wifi-networks. The one that I used the most has a connection to a VPN-Server.
This morning I switched to the Wifi-network that has no connection to a VPN-Server. Downloading and upgrading was not a problem at all!! That is good to know I think!
