No Password Prompt in AP Mode

Post by KM5GT »

Hi, I'm trying to log into my openSPOT2 in AP mode to configure a new WiFi location and I can't seem to get the login prompt to appear. I've turned off my popup blocker, just in case it presents the login that way, but no luck. All I get is a blank openSPOT2 Info page when I connect. Suggestions?

Try emptying your browser's cache.

Thanks for the suggestion. I cleared the browser cache. Unfortunately there is no change. Same problem.

After you are connected to the "openSPOT2 AP" Wi-Fi network, try opening 192.168.99.1 with another browser. Make sure the openSPOT2 is placed close to your browser device (phone/tablet/compuetr) while doing this.

I get the same behavior.
First URL that is connected: http://openspot2.local/#status
New browser URL: http://192.168.99.1/#status

The laptop and openSPOT2 are about 10 cm apart. Still no login prompt.

I also tried forcing the login page through

http://openspot2.local/login and http://192.168.99.1/login
For these two I get a 400 error.

The screenshot you've posted happens when the browser can't run the Javascript code on the openSPOT2 web interface. Check the browser's Javascript console (usually it can be toggled with F12) for any errors.

I checked Chrome on my PC and javascript is enabled. I also tried to access the device through my iPhone. Same result. Other suggestions?

Try doing a factory reset on the openSPOT2.
