Connecting to XLX with a module

Post by W6AAX »

Is there a way to connect to XLX830 module D and use TG6? I do not see a way to enter a module. I would like to cross mode from D-Star to this DMR XLX reflector

You can connect to XLX830 module D using the Quick Setup. Select D-STAR as the transceiver type and DCS/XLX as the server type.

If the server does not support transcoding from your D-STAR stream to DMR, then select D-STAR as the transceiver type, then DMRplus/MARC/TGIF/XLX as the server type, then connect to the server.

Changing modules on an XLX server is described here: http://manuals.sharkrf.com/openspot3/en ... ector.html

"To unlink the currently linked module, call DMR ID 4000 (either using the Quick Call on the web interface, or using a transceiver). To connect to module A, call DMR ID 4001, for module B call DMR ID 4002 and so on."

This means if you want to talk on module D, you have to make a short call to 4004, so the server links module D for you. This can be done using the Quick Call feature on the OS3 web interface, or from your transceiver by changing the URCALL or with DTMF codes (both methods are described in the user manual on the Homebrew/MMDVM connector's page).
