battery question, not complaint

I use my open spot 3 everyday. I usually use it for about 4-5 hours. I charge it everyday. I could run it on power, I do not need to run it on the battery. What is your suggestion?

If you have power available, then plug the OS3 in and use it that way.

Can the OS3 be plugged in and powered on 24/7 or is that not a good practice? Will that affect longevity of the device?

You can Disable Fast Battery Charging with a Check in the Settings
-This amounts to a "Float" at Full Charger or maintenance charge.
Fast Charging is not good for any battery as the higher current causes heating of the battery cells.

Is the battery replaceable in the Open Spot 3 or is it proprietary?

The battery is proprietary, but can be replaced.
