The new update is April 10, 2020, for some, was March 30, 2020...

On 6th March I got a shipping date of 16th April. Does this mean that delivery has moved forward 6 days?

Apparently not, it's the March date that has moved back 11 days.

In this boring time I hope that they work on getting these things out earlier then what they say because there is absolutely nothing to do except radio and this having it would absolutely help

I'm sure that they will do their best but what has to be factored in is delays in component availability, factory shutdowns and staff absence followed by difficulties in shipping with maritime and air freight services being under stress.

I don't know where the openSPOTs are manufactured, but it is clear that they are made in batches and if any of the infrastructure involves China then it's unclear how it will work out right now.
