CONTROLLING OpenSPOT from Kenwood D74, How Much Is Possible?

Post by VE3RWJ »

Hi.

I want to use the Web UI less and my radio's keypad more, when it comes to controlling the Open Spot 3.
I have the Kenwood TH-D74A, and have a DR memory set up properly to work with the OS.

I know I can switch profiles using DTMF commands, but what else is possible?

For example, is it possible, once I switch to a profile that is cross-moding from D-Star to DMR, to switch talk groups on the fly using DTMF? what about YSF reflectors? etc.

Is all this documented somewhere already and I just haven't found it?

thanks in advance for any help.

Yes, it's possible to switch profiles and also servers, and also cross mode settings. You can find everything described in the openSPOT3 user manual. http://manuals.sharkrf.com/openspot3/en/index.html
