Switching to the new XLX reflectors from the radio...

Post by broonzbane »

It had to happen sooner or later once the number of XLX reflectors reached 1,000. New reflectors being developed are now unable to use numeric characters in the 4th, 5th and 6th position in the name of the reflector.

So, whereas before you might have a reflector named XLX334 (a very fine reflector I might add!), now we are seeing reflectors show up named, for example:

XLXAAA (N. America)
XLXJPN (Japan)
XLXRUS (Russia)

I doubt there’s any way to switch to these without the aid of the web interface, but it never hurts to ask. Is there a way to dial these up from the radio, Norbert?

BTW, my question pertains cross-moding from a DMR radio...

Thanks, and 73!

You can switch to these servers if you set up an openSPOT3 configuration profile and switch to this profile using the transceiver.
