DG-ID YCS Fusion II

Post by ea7hoc »

there is the possibility of programming the openspot3 to manage several GD-IDs in YCS Fusión II as explained on the web https://radio.xreflector.es/tutorial-dg ... fusion-ii/, and be able to be in several DG-IDs at the same time?

By default the openSPOT3 does not filter the DGID, except the DGID used for the local echo service (99 by default, but this can be changed on the Settings page, C4FM settings section), so you can use any DGID to transmit to the network.

Hello Norbert,
in Germany we have now a C4FM multiprotokoll Server, the YCS262 (xreflector.net)
It is possible to connect this server with the openspot and possible to send in one DG-ID.
There are 99 DG-IDs on this server. With Options in the YSF Gateway (Github G4KLX) it is possible to have some statik DG-IDs...
Please please implement these functions in the openspot.

Thank you and 73 Eckhard DL6BAJ

Thank you. We've been also notified about this new feature by several openSPOT users (as usual, developers or server admins don't contact the SharkRF team about changes...).

We've sent an email to OE1KBC (who made the YSFReflector protocol change) to ask about what do we need to modify in the openSPOT3 to support this new server feature.

An 'Options' line has recently been added in YSFGateway to set multiple DG-IDs to monitor on a YCS server. For example, if you set your default connection to FCS31080, and set 'Options=79, 80' you would hear traffic from both room 79 and room 80. A TX DG-ID on your radio of 79 allows you to transmit into room 79; a TX DG-ID of 80 allows you transmit into room 80.

Alternatively, if you are connected to FCS31080 with no 'Options' set and you wish to move to room 79, you can set TX DG-ID to 79 and the YCS server will 'move' you to room 79 with a 10 minute timeout.

The openSPOT3 does not use YSFGateway. The mentioned DGID options feature is already implemented in firmware v35 https://www.sharkrf.com/products/opensp ... elog/beta/

I am well aware of this fact. I was simply illustrating how it is implemented there.
