Problems logging into Openspot

Post by sharkusr »

Logging into Openspot3 wont work at all using Google Chrome anymore. Using Firefox on windows 10, I can log in, but half the time there is a very long, 15-30 second delay before I get past the Openspot3 logo animation. This never happened before a few days ago. Openspot3 running v55. Have owned Openpot3 about 1 month. Any solution to this?

- Place the openSPOT3 close to the Wi-Fi router.
- Make sure the Wi-Fi bandwith is set to max. 20Mhz in the Wi-Fi router (see explanation here: https://superuser.com/questions/542191/ ... less-speed)
- If it still does not work, try switching Wi-Fi channel on your Wi-Fi router. Only channels 1, 6 or 11 should be used (see explanation here: https://www.metageek.com/training/resou ... -6-11.html)

Connecting with Firefox problem solved by moving openspot closer to router, from 10 feet to 5 feet away, and I also noticed the openspot is a little directional, and by rotating it I improved RSSI to -45dbm. The problem connecting with Google Chrome still exist and is being caused by an update to a safe browsing extension, as it connects when I disable the extension from McAfee. That is ok, I will just use Firefox to connect to the openspot from now on. Thanks for your help.
