Tranmode DMR to dStar no audio.

Post by Stewmair »

DMR to DMR no problem.
But with DMR to dStar with the same radio there is no audio. My signal is received and callsign displayed but no audio is present.
Increasing transcode gain makes no difference.
Modulation mode is 4FSK-RC(Reduced Cosine). Is this the problem?

Please first set the transcode gain settings for D-STAR - DMR back to defaults:

DMR to D-STAR (dB): 12
D-STAR to DMR (dB): -12

You can test the connection with a server's echo feature. Connect to REF001 or REF030 module E and try to listen back yourself. Do you hear yourself correctly?

If not, please make sure you have a valid D-STAR registration. Click on the Check D-STAR registration button on the REF/XRF connector settings page.

If you have a valid registration, but still cannot hear yourself, then please post a screenshot of the call log which shows your call being made to the server and also the call which is returned by the server's echo service.

Thanks Norbert,
I did all as advised.
Still no audio in transmission on REF023C but receive audio is normal and the station ID transmitted.
Changed to REF091C and both receive and transmit audio normal!
There seems to be code reading difference between the two reflectors.
The only change I made was the reflector.

Problem was with my programming.
All good now.
