FSC connector -> DMR modem: only see my own call

Post by ON4VP »

When I have my OS set to use as a DMR hotspot my MD-380 shows the callsign from the operator that is on air (talking). But when I use my OS as a C4FM hotspot (DMR modem) then when someone is talking I always see my own callsign. Is there a way to change this ? Tnx !

Change the default DMR ID for C4FM calls setting (according to the user manual: If an incoming call’s source callsign can be parsed into a number, it will be it’s source DMR ID. Otherwise the Default DMR ID for C4FM calls setting will be used (Settings page, DMR settings section).)

If I follow the manual instructions as you describe, all incomming traffic now shows:

9998 -> TG9
ECHO (NCPRN)

This is a follow up to Phil's situation. I get the same results. How can I have the other operator's callsign appear on my MD380?

Thanks

You have to use md380tools on your radio, as the factory firmware does not decode talker alias and does not have DMR ID database.

Thanks. I am using the md380tools (KD4Z). I will check with that group.

Make sure the "Send no in-band data to modem" checkbox is unchecked (Settings page, DMR settings section), otherwise the openSPOT will not the send talker alias to your radio.
