Moto XPR GPS->OpenSPOT->APRS.FI

Post by K3XT »

I have a Motorola XPR 7550 sending GPS data through the OpenSPOT to APRS.FI maps.
Search for K3XT-15 within APRS.FI and take a look.
I can send detailed Moto CPS settings to anyone who is interested.
Summary of Setups:
Moto CPS - Requires changes to a number of fields for each GPS enabled channel.
BrandMeister - Need to register in SelfCare and select, call sign, radio, icon, text message.
OpenSPOT - Need to select server 3102 or try other servers if no icon appears.
Even with all the correct settings it can take about 5 minutes for the GPS data to appear on APRS.FI.

Excellent info, thanks for sharing Sean, if you could, can you please email me those instructions or post them here for the Motorola XPR7550 so I can share them with some other folks in my support circle? Thanks and 73...
