Gateway IP change

I've been using my openSPOT (1) for sometime now with satisfactory results. Recently one of the repeater gateways I connect with frequently had it's IP changed (after over a year of stability). I could no longer connect. Other gateways and reflectors I used continued to work normally.

I went into "Connectors" , and under DSTAR/REF/XRF, I clicked on Gateways and entered the callsign and module of the desired gateway. This worked temporarily. When I switched to another repeater and then switched back, it would not connect. I repeated the "connectors" process with no success.

Is this an IP tables update issue or some other issue that I can resolve on my end?

Which gateway's IP address do you mean?
We've added to the source of our gateway database yesterday.

It was W7AES. Appears to be working now.

Odd thing was that other hotspots (at least Zoomspot) seemed automatically to make the IP tables switch right away. I guess they use a different database.
