Crystal Checks?

Post by dgmaley »

Good afternoon from Iowa, USA.
Was wondering, on the original Openspot, if there is a way I can check operating frequencies of the DSP and RF chip crystals?
I know that most DMR radios have AFC's but one of my radios starts off with distorted audio then drifts into the clear. Not sure who is at fault yet.
I have an old microwave counter who's 10MHz ovenized reference is easily checked against WWV.
Thank you.

The original openSPOT has a temperature compensated oscillator which keeps the frequency precision within 2.5 ppm.
