Reflector linking

Post by N1UB »

Can I use my Openspot 1 as a way to link my Wires-X room to one of the reflectors such as YSF so my friends with hotspots can access my room ? Thank you

Yes, if you set up a Yaesu transceiver for the Wires-X room and set your openSPOT's RX/TX frequencies to the transceiver's frequency, as the openSPOT does not support directly connecting to the proprietary Wires-X network.

Thanks for the reply. What is the process to get it to show up on the list of the YSF reflector?

You have to register your YSFReflector here: https://register.ysfreflector.de

Seem to have it working, the audio at times seems a little distorted. Is there any adjustments I can do to the Openspot to improve the audio quality ?

If the remote station is coming from a DMR network, then the audio can be distorted (several YSFReflector servers are linked to DMR talkgroups).

Check if the Dejitter queue graph shows any invalid seqnum errors on the Status page.

He is not coming through a DMR network, Fusion radio to zumspot to FCS reflector.

The Dejitter queue graph does show some red spikes in it.
