Status stuck as "in call"

Post by Tyrbiter »

I have noticed that several times after an extended uptime (41 days this time) the openSPOT shows a status of in-call even though there is no activity on its call log window.

I don't recall this happening in the past but I had not kept checking until I noticed it earlier this year by chance.

Any thoughts? Related to the final fw update perhaps?

We don't know what is causing this. Does the openSPOT1 forward calls correctly even if the web interface displays "in call"?

Yes, I am pretty sure it does, the problem is purely one of indication in the web page. I thought it was worth mentioning, but perhaps it is down to long uptimes.

Does a web interface reload fix the issue?

No, the only fix I've found is a reboot.

Seen this again today, although I don't check it that often.

Up time is 33 days and a few hours.

I don't remember this before the latest firmware release, but I am not certain it wasn't there.

A further instance of this has happened, the uptime is 25 days 19.5 hours. It was not showing this on Tuesday evening so perhaps this is some sort of counter or timer overflow? I note that 2^21 seconds is just over 24 hours and 16 minutes.

Forcing a change from backup to primary server doesn't make any difference, still shows 'In Call' without any change.

A question for SharkRF. Did something change in the OS1 status page that removed the incrementing call length in seconds in the call log? I don't see that any more, so was wondering if it's because I have forgotten or because it changed.

The OS1 web interface has not changed in the past 2 and a half years.

OK, so I am now thinking that something has gone wrong with the last update.

I am going to reset the OS1, re-flash the firmware and reload the profiles.
