DMRplus not working

Post by VK3MP » Fri Aug 18, 2017 7:58 am

Hi,
When I connect to DMRplus on reflector 4803 (VK3) I see my transmissions going into the Vk3 DMR MARC network on 4803 via http://www.vkdmr.net/ but when someone answers back I can see they are sending on 4803 but I dont get ay transmission from the Openspot. It appears to be one way only?

Does openSPOT's call log show the incoming call? If not, it's a server/network issue.

No it doesnt, I suspect the problem does lie at the DMRplus server side.

This is definitely a problem with Openspot, I can pick any DMR+ reflector that is being transmitted on from http://176.10.105.248/live_dmr/, set my Openspot to join that reflector, and I see nothing in the call log on my Openspot UI, but when I transmit it appears on that web site last heard list.
Please look into this.

No, it is a problem with the network. If you don't see a call in the openSPOT's call log, then openSPOT did not receive it from the network.

This is getting stranger!
I have found two different sites that show DMRplus calls, and they are a different set of calls at any one time:
http://176.10.105.248/live_dmr/
http://www.ham-dmr.de/live_dmr/
It seems to be semi-random which page my calls show up on.
I can join the 4409 reflector and hear calls fine.
Does this mean the "network problem" exists somewhere between the Australian DMRplus Network and whatever server I connect to with the Openspot? (I usually use the California server)
Thanks in advance.
Brett.

G'day Brett

I too have seen your calls go to the C-Bridge from DMR+.

I will try in a few days to make contact with you to see if the issue is on the DMR+ side or if the Bridge has a software issue - allowing traffic onto the MARC network.

If you PM me - maybe we could set up a time and try it out "locally" either on TS2 on the MARC and you on 4803 or 4804 and we shall see what comes up.

Cheers

Thanks Dave,
I am starting to think this might just be the fact that the reflectors are not even supposed to work at all, but some misconfiguration somewhere is letting calls through some of the time, or perhaps just one direction.

Try going via mmdvm and select the vk zl server under the dmr marc links it will work on 4801 to 4809 with audio both ways personally i think its a waste of time brandmeister a better system.

Thanks very much Lewis, it worked like a charm.
