I have read many comments already. One is good for the other is not. It is not easy to find the cause of the error.
For your enjoyment, More quotes, these are all different owners and the quotes are from this topic only. There are many other quotes I could have gotten from other topics on this forum. I also have many quotes from on the air grumbling about the issue also, none of which are posted here..

Quotes from this topic ONLY:

"Moving back to 126 fixed that."

" Something is slightly off with the OpenSPOT transmitter timing under .127 that is not happening with .126."

"Same situation here, running MD380 perfectly on v123...since changing to v127 will not produce audio on mmdvm. connector."

"I have swapped back and forth between v0123 and v0127 on the Openspot and firmware on the radio and the common factor is v0127. Sorry guys, it might work for you, but it isn't working reliably for some of us."

"Regressed to 1.23 (the version I was previously running) and everthing is now fine"

"I dont not why happenning this , but its not normal that a Stable release have all this issue"

"Okay, I ran 0129 for about a day. Even with switching the modem modulation to 4FSK Raised Cosine just to get it to work, the audio was much worse. I think I will stick with build 0125 for now. It works great."

"NO Joy here.ver 0130 is actually worse than 127. Something has changed with firmware version 127 and higher. My radio does not like the change. Neither does it's owner...."

Last evening, I was getting this stuttering issue on my MD-380 (old vocoder) for the first time. I've running v1.30 with 4FSK RC. I was connected to Brandmeister server 3108 at the time. When I switched to 3103, it immediately cleared up. I have to wonder if this is a Brandmeister server issue more than an openSpot firmware issue...

Okay Fellow hams and openspot team I have tried everything suggested in the post with 130. Set Ref RX set to med and high, the 4FSK RC turning the power down on the openspot, changing servers and both my 380 and 390 are cutting out. My scanner is decoding perfectly so it’s something between the openspot and the TYT radios. I am now using 123 with no issues at all. Interesting to note I noticed something, the issue for me is when it’s the transmitting station is using a Motorola radio into an openspot. If the transmitting station is using cross-mode or say a TYT radio then it never drops out. Or, the transmitting station is using Motorola into another device to access the network I have no dropout. I am not the only one to notice this, another Ham noticed that their 380 was dropping out and the Motorola wasn’t but never put the correlation together till I said something. Not sure if that helps the team figure out that the issue is or not. Seems to me shouldn’t matter what the transmitting station is using but I can’t ignore what I noticed because it’s just happening to consistently. 73s

I have been having the same issue, what i have noticed is that the firmware on the 380 that is previous to 13.34 has an issue with it. I am running 2 380's, one with 13.20 and one with 13.34. The one with 13.20 takes about 10 sec to start rx even with the green light on while the 13.34 gets it right away. If i change it to 4fsk RC they both rx at the same time with the older (13.20) audio is terrible but the 13.34 works with no issue and i am running .127 right now.

I just checked my MD-380 firmware version and it is 1.34. My radio has miserable RX audio on Openspot versions 0127 and higher. I now use version 0123 and the RX audio is excellent.

are you talking about the cps version 1.34? or did you miss the 3 on the radio firmware?

reason for me asking for clarification as they are 2 separate animals. 1.34 may be the cps but the firmware on the radio should be 13.20, 13.32, 13.34 etc

I looked at it again in my radio and the CP is version 1.34. I am using MD380tools firmware but do not see a version number in the radio, just the date of 2017-8-19

ok, im not all that familar with md380tools and what travis is basing the newest release on, was hoping that was going to shed more light, but if it is one of the newer releases i would bet it is based on one of the newer firmwares.

TYT MD-380 and 390 latest CPS v1.34 and vocoder D13.34 can be download from TYT official site here:

http://www.tyt888.com/uploadfile/upfile ... 134006.zip

The latest firmware version on TYT site is 13.32 can be download from here:

http://www.tyt888.com/uploadfile/upfile ... 112120.zip

KD0WLB seems to be using the original factory firmware but K9IUQ is the hacked firmware.

MD380tools is based on 13.20 if memory serves.
